This screen shot is from Indesign, its my contents page. I produced all the features on photoshop then added the picture on indesign to layout.

This print screen is from Indesign, i started using it in this lesson. At first it was quite complicated to use but as soon i got the hang of it i placed my pictures and edited the layout for my magazine front cover.

Planning my own Prospectus

This is a medium close up picture, this is my ideal picture of a college prospectus. The image is clear and sharp.

For Wednesday's lesson, each student AS Media class got given a camera to take pictures of medium close-ups of students around the college. We were also given a sheet of the different types of shots that we needed, which were:
MCU of person standing up
MCU of person sitting down
MCU of person outside (with background)
MCU of person inside (with background)
MCU of person in high angle shot
MCU of person in low angle shot

I have uploaded the photographs on my flickr account and annoted my favourite ones .

There is very good lighting in this shot, which means that I will not have to lighten it in any photo editing software.

This picture can be edited on photoshop i can crop the picture and delete the backgroud to add another background.

This is my second magazine cover that i have researched this one is more annotated because the editor has used alot more features.

Semiology/Semiotics

Iconic: look like what they represent e.g. photo of you

Symbolic/ Arbritary: meaninf must be culturally learned. Dont look like what they represent. e.g No entry sign.

Indexical: have a connecttion to what they represent and are suggestive rather than directly resembling. EG No smoking sign

I researched some music magzine. This magazine is vixen the masterhead is very big and bold so it can stand out on the page. I have annoted the magazine to have an idea of when is tart producing my own magazine as my first Courseowork. I have annotated the magazine and indentified the features that the ediot has used.
